LASA (League Against Sadistic Abuse - formed 1994) Support group for parents whose children have been subjected to abuse of a bizarre, sadistic nature, often perpetrated by multiple abusers. This can have serious and tragic consequences. Non-abusing parents often have no-one to turn to, and find mutual support invaluable. LASA operate a telephone helpline on 01803 813611 from 9am-1pm (please leave a message initially). They are unable to support survivors themselves, as their function is to support the carers of abused children.

NAPAC (National Association for People Abused in Childhood), 42 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3NH. Website: www.napac.org.uk Napac run a free postal service for adult survivors of abuse or neglect, putting them in touch with help in their area. POPAN ( Prevention of Professional Abuse Network) Helpline 0845 4500300 Support, advocacy & information service for people who are concerned that someone is being abused by a health or social care professional. Website www.popan.org.uk
Rape Crisis, Victim Support These organisations operate throughout the country. If you cannot find details for your local area, contact your Citizens' Advice Bureau who will have information. The Police also hold this information, or you may find it in your Library.
